5 things to consider when Choosing New Granite Countertops
It’s a pretty safe bet in Las Vegas that if your countertops are not new, then your countertops are probably ready for a remodel. For the past few years and for the foreseeable future is pretty much the go-to material for new countertop designs, whether in a kitchen renovation or in walk in shower, granite is highly sought after by people remodeling their homes.
When it comes to choosing granite, there are a lot of things to be aware of. Do you want a modern look, or something classic? Do you want lighter or darker stone? What granite best fits with the style of your cabinets, flooring and / or appliances?

As an example, beveled and flat edges compliment a room with modern cabinets installed. Traditional style cabinets typically get what is referred to in the granite countertop industry as a bull nose edge. This style of edge is rounded on the edges to a half circle and if you have small children who are at risk for bumping their heads, this helps to lessen the impact.
